VINUM Wine & Spirits Education Foundation has partnered with Master the World and Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein to offer this 6-month series of advanced blind tasting labs for ten students.
You have been selected from our group of applicants to receive one kit of wines each month for six months. These wines will arrive blind, and students will taste them individually at home, and then have a chance to discuss both with the rest of the group, as well as schedule one-on-ones with wine professionals for special additional feedback.
The first session, Wednesday 27 January 2021, 11:30 CST will be conducted by Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein via Zoom. In this two-hour introduction you will go through the program and will learn the format for each session following. For this first special session only, please have your wines chilled as applicable, poured, and ready to go as Evan tours the Master the World platform with the group.
For the remaining five months we will be following a different format. Once you receive your monthly delivery of wines, you will be asked to complete the corresponding tasting on the Master the World platform on your own BEFORE the group meets. Then each month all participants will meet for a one-hour long discussion about the wines as a group. You may then schedule one-on-one sessions with our rotating list of Wine Professionals to go over any special questions or concerns.

Each group session will be conducted via video link with Evan Goldstein, Tim Gaiser or Madeline Triffon and will be followed by individually personalized coaching and feedback sessions with Wine Professionals. This is the truly special part of this program--you will get individual feedback sessions to help you hone your blind tasting skills. You will schedule these with Master the World each month over the platform to allow for any scheduling conflicts.Please complete the Eventbrite registration and payment process for the first lab. Please note that adult signature will be required for all kits and any reshipment fees due to incorrect addresses or failed delivery after three attempts will be billed to you.
